Zorb Smoky Mountains – Pigeon Forge, TN

Ever want to feel like a hamster in a ball, without having to do all the work? Then Zorb is definitely for you! Brought to North America from New Zealand, Zorb is a fun and exciting way to spend an afternoon! The Pigeon Forge area is the only place in North America where you can do this, so now you have even more reason to visit.

Zorb Smoky Mountains is open 7 days a week 363 days a year! You can choose to do one of two different rides, or both. The Zydro ride, which is what I chose to do, sits you in the ball with water. If you do the straight tracks, you can have up to three people in the Zorb ball (I went alone!)…on the zig-zag track you must be alone. The Zorbit ride is designed for one person only and in this one you are suspended with a specially designed harness in the middle of the Zorb ball as it descends the straight track only. This one, you stay dry! Haha! (the Zorbit is run, weather permitting)

Having done the Zydro ride, I now know how my laundry feels when in the washer, without the suds that is! You toss, you turn, you flip, you get soaked and you laugh your tail off! In my video, I may look a little goofy, but I was trying to keep the water from going in my eyes and mouth hahaha but was still laughing! I think I could have ridden the Zorb all day if I wasn’t hungry and in need of lunch…and keeping a tight schedule! Next time, I want to ride more! They are not kidding when they say it is addictive!

The staff of Zorb is great, a lot of fun and they make you feel at ease if you’re a little nervous about trying this out. They bring you up to the top of the hill in a van, for your ride, and then prepare the ball for you. You run and dive into that ball and get ready to rumble and tumble down the hill. Oh and….it’s a lot faster in there than it seems when you watch from the bottom of the hill!

Photos are taken as you descend the hill, and they are taken of you after the ride, while still in the ball, as you exit it (which kind of looks like it is birthing you) and outside of it, posing! You can purchase the photos when you’re done. They also have clothing for sale if you forgot to bring a change, which also serve as a great souvenir!

Honestly, this is one FUN thing to do. Everyone who is physically able to; really MUST try it at least once! I think the photos of me after the ride, speak for themselves.

So, if you are looking for some adventure in your life, you have GOT to try Zorb!
